High-Precision DME Phased Array Systems

The DME series represents a line of rugged, all-weather collinear dipole phased arrays engineered for Distance Measuring Equipment. Utilizing 6063T6 ultra-corrosion-resistant architectural aluminum and large-diameter brass radiating elements, these antennas are center-fed to eliminate radiation pattern distortion. This design ensures a true omni-directional horizontal pattern with smooth VSWR and constant gain across the 960–1240 MHz band. For specialized directional requirements, high-gain models like the DME-1100-14-180 provide up to 14 dBi gain with a precise 180-degree horizontal beam-width, capable of handling peak input power up to 5,000 watts.

Multiband UAT and ADS-B Aviation Solutions

The UAT-978-1090 is a dual-band, vertical polarized L-band antenna designed for Universal Access Transceiver and ADS-B applications. Operating across the 960–1220 MHz range, it supports UAT (978 MHz), ADS-B (1090 MHz), and ATC Mode-S protocols. To minimize interference from the aircraft fuselage, the antenna features an extended stub design that keeps the radiator isolated from the airframe. Its ground-plane-independent architecture allows for versatile installation on both metallic and non-metallic surfaces without compromising the omni-directional radiation pattern.

Ground Station ADS-B Collinear Antennas

Designed specifically for ground-based surveillance, the ADS-B series fiberglass collinear antennas provide high-performance narrowband operation. By focusing on a narrower bandwidth, these antennas—including the ADS-B-1090-12 and 1090-9 models—effectively eliminate inter-modulation issues caused by strong adjacent signals in dense urban environments. They feature center-fed phased array construction and special stub matching, housed within high-tech ruggedized fiberglass radomes that require no field tuning or adjustments.

Advanced Transponder Monopole Technology

The transponder antenna utilizes a top-loaded quarter-wave stub monopole design, specifically machined from solid brass and beryllium copper with a chromium finish for maximum impact and corrosion resistance. This compact, top-loaded architecture ensures a stable, omni-directional horizontal pattern for critical aircraft identification and tracking. The internal contact points are gold-plated to ensure superior conductivity, while the entire assembly is factory-tuned to maintain a smooth VSWR throughout the transponder frequency spectrum.

Integrated Signal Monitoring and Protection

To ensure system integrity, many DME antenna configurations are supplied with an integrated coupler and dual monitoring probes. These probes allow technicians to verify the radiated radio signal, with an output level calibrated to 25 dB (± 1 dB) below the main RF input power. Furthermore, the antennas are designed with a D.C. ground path, providing a low-resistance discharge route that protects the sensitive equipment from lightning strikes and reduces electrical noise, which is essential for high-reliability aviation safety systems.

ADS-B High Gain Omnidirectional Antenna 1030-1090 MHz 6 to 12 dBi Gain

ADS-B Series Fiberglass Omni-directional Collinear Antennas are rugged all weather model uses high class brass and 6063T6 ultra corrosion resistant architectural anodized aluminum alloy and does not require any field tuning or adjustments. No ground plane is required to operate this antenna. The ADS-B-1090-12 and ADS-B-1090-9 antennas are an Omni-directional narrowband, higher performance, collinear dipole type phased array designed specifically for use as a ADS-B ground station antenna. The ADS-B Series antennas are a center fed design which eliminates the distortion of the radiation pattern and ensures a true omni-directional horizontal pattern. The special stub matching is used for smooth VSWR and constant gain over the specified frequency band. The bandwidth of the ADS-B series are antenna is fairly narrow, which can help to eliminate inter-modulation problems from adjacent strong signals in urban areas.

DME high Gain Omnidirectional Antenna 960-1240 MHz 6 to 12 dBi Gain

DME series DME antennas are rugged all weather model uses 6063T6 ultra corrosion resistant architectural aluminum alloy and does not require any field tuning or adjustments. No ground plane is required to operate this antenna. The DME-960-1240-12, DME-960-1240-9 and DME-960-1240-6 are an Omni-directional broadband, higher performance, collinear dipole type phased array designed specifically for use as a distance measuring equipment (DME) antenna having 12dBi, 9dBi and 6dBi gain respectively. The antenna termination is enclosed at bottom of the antenna for complete weather protection. The high gain DME series antennas are strong enough to withstand an ice storm, and will also do well in a shoreline environmental conditions. The marine grade stainless steel mounting hardware is supplied with the antenna.

DME 180 Degrees Beamwidth High Gain Directional Antenna

DME-1100-8-180, DME-1100-11-180 and DME-1100-14-180 antennas has 8dBi. 11dBi and 14dBi gain with 180 degrees beam-width, rugged all weather model uses 6063T6 ultra corrosion resistant architectural aluminum alloy and does not require any field tuning or adjustments. All junctions are fully welded to prevent RF inter-modulation and antenna is completely protected within a high-tech ruggedized fiber glass radome to ensure survivability in the worst environments. These higher performance, collinear dipole phased array designed specifically for use as a Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) antenna. The antenna handles input power to 5,000 watts at standard DME pulse duty cycle. These 180 degrees beamwidth DME directional antenna comes factory tuned and does not require any field tuning or adjustment.
